Rules of the Giralda and Cathedral
The Cathedral of Seville publishes these Norms on its website exactly as they are and indicates that it is open to everyone. Both out of respect and to ensure the safety of all, visitors are requested to comply with the regulations detailed below.
This regulation extends to the cultural visit of the Church of the Divine Savior, which complements the visit to the Cathedral. Non-compliance with this regulation may result in the denial of entry or expulsion from the premises.
ACCESS RULES
The Cathedral Chapter reserves the right of admission. Visitors will be subject to ticket validation at the access control. Their visit begins at the Giralda tower.
In the event that a dangerous object is detected, it may be confiscated until departure or, otherwise, access to the premises will be directly denied. A dangerous object is understood to mean any type of weapon, such as sharp objects, knives, or similar items. Also considered prohibited objects are any type of banners, posters, or flags with advocacy purposes, as well as harmful chemical products that may harm both the monument and individuals.
Access and stay in the premises of the Cathedral and Church of El Salvador are subject to possession of an entry ticket, which must be shown to public attention and/or security personnel as requested, as well as to duly accredited Cathedral personnel who request it. Minors under 16 must always be accompanied by an adult to access the premises.
Both individual visitors and groups have different enabled access points as specified in the exterior signage of the temple. Access to the Cathedral is only allowed with tickets issued at the same ticket offices of the Cathedral and the Church of El Salvador. The sale and resale of tickets on the street, as well as their forgery, are prohibited.

It is completely prohibited to: Touch and tarnish the heritage of the cathedral in any of its artistic representations, touch and tarnish the pillars or works of art, touch, cut, or uproot plants from the courtyard of the Orange Trees.
Throw litter and waste of any kind on the ground. Undress, remove shoes, or lie on benches, steps, or in the courtyard. Access, without authorization, to areas of the monument closed to the public.
THE SPACES OF THE CATHEDRAL
The Excmo. Chapter reserves the right to modify itineraries or limit the visitable spaces of the Cathedral for reasons of safety, restoration, maintenance, adverse weather conditions, or specific events. The Excmo. Chapter, in compliance with legal regulations, will regulate the capacity of the Cathedral and Giralda and its spaces according to criteria of safety and conservation of the monument.
CONDUCT AND DRESS CODE
Out of respect for other visitors and to maintain the atmosphere of reflection typical of a church, it is requested that the visit be conducted without raising one's voice. During the visit, civic behavior must be maintained, avoiding crowds and running inside the premises.
Visitors are required to dress decently when entering the cultural visit of the Holy Cathedral of Seville. Sleeveless, low-cut, and/or transparent garments are prohibited. Shoulders must always be covered. Extremely short pants or skirts are not allowed. Use a low tone of voice to contribute to the atmosphere of tranquility, reflection, and respect that the Cathedral and the enjoyment of artworks require. Smoking and eating inside the premises are not allowed.
Beverages can only be consumed outside the building or water during hot weather. The visitor will be responsible for maintaining order and cleanliness in the spaces, as well as adopting respectful behavior towards the heritage and museum elements.
All advocacy actions are prohibited within the entire Cathedral of Seville complex. Inside the premises, taking photographs with a tripod is also not allowed, except for previously accredited individuals. Photographs and video recordings for commercial purposes may not be reproduced, distributed, or marketed without the permission of the Excmo. Chapter.
In case of evacuation, the instructions of Cathedral personnel must be followed at all times. The Royal Chapel is a space reserved exclusively for worship and prayer, and access is prohibited within the cultural route.
THE VISIT TO THE GIRALDA
For security reasons, people with reduced mobility cannot ascend the Giralda tower. It is prohibited to ascend with wheelchairs.
Minors under 16 may visit the Giralda only when accompanied by an adult. In the case of school visits, there must be at least one teacher for every 10 students. It is recommended that individuals with vertigo, claustrophobia, anemia, tendency to dizziness, heart problems, and/or respiratory issues do not ascend the Giralda.
THE SERVICES
It is mandatory to return the audioguides before leaving the premises in the same condition in which they were received.
Groups larger than 10 people must use radioguides to avoid noise.
The Cathedral has equipment available for rent.
CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICY:
Purchased tickets are non-refundable and cannot change the date of the visit, except in the following case: when it has not been possible to carry out the visit due to reasons attributable to the Excmo. Cathedral Chapter of Seville. Not showing up for a visit or arriving late to the time indicated on your ticket or cultural visit purchase voucher, as well as not carrying the valid ID or passport, student ID, or any administrative document required for the granting of reduced or free entry, will not give rise to any right to reimbursement of the amount of the purchased ticket. The Cathedral of Seville is only responsible for tickets purchased through our official website https://catedraldesevilla.es and will not handle complaints regarding tickets purchased through other companies or intermediary vendors. In these cases, the user must make complaints with the company/vendor that made the sale.
GROUP VISIT
In accordance with current regional regulations, only accredited teachers and official guides, as well as heritage interpreters, will be allowed to conduct explanatory tours. School groups may also be led by an accredited teacher without needing a specialized guide, as long as the documentation confirming the educator's profession is presented.
The guide or responsible teacher conducting the explanations within the Cathedral premises must compulsorily use the radioguide equipment.
THE USE OF RADIOGUIDES IS MANDATORY FOR GROUPS LARGER THAN TEN VISITORS, otherwise they will not be able to explain inside the Cathedral.
